"AP" Goofs on Homeowners Insurance

Oops! The Northwest Florida Daily News on February 14 printed an Associated Press article with incorrect information about homeowners insurance legislation. The AP article stated that Florida homeowners insurance policies would "not" be cancellable for the 90 days prior to and throughout hurricane season. Hurricane season starts on June 1. Property owners have indeed been receiving cancellation notices and been caught unawares, due to the widely publicized article. AP declined to comment on the issue.
